Thanks to some brilliant lead-up work from Greg Inglis and Bryson Goodwin, Luke Keary crossed for this match-equaliser in the dying moments of Friday’s clash against the Eels.
But while Keary scored the equaliser, the playmaker admitted that he thought the game had been wrapped up – citing that he had inadvertently made Adam Reynolds’ match-winning conversion more difficult by running into the corner.
“I thought we were two points in front,” laughed Keary.
“I actually just started running towards the sideline to put it down – made the kick a bit harder for little ‘Ren’ (Reynolds), but I knew he was going to get it over.”
