The NSWRL has confirmed the fixtures of Week One of the Finals Series in the Intrust Super Premiership NSW and the North Sydney Bears will take on the Newcastle Knights in the qualifying match.
The competition follows a top eight finals format and the first game will take place on Saturday with the Wyong Roos kicking off the finals against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
As the Bears finished 6th on the ladder, they will take the field on Sunday 3 September at UOW Jubilee Kogarah with the fixture schedule to kick-off at 12pm.
Following the game, the remaining Intrust Super Premiership matches will follow with Mounties to play the Illawarra Cutters at 2pm and the Warriors to take on the Panthers at 4pm.
"It's been a really good, club effort from the team both from the NSW Cup players and NRL players who've played for us," said Bears Head Coach Ben Gardiner.
"The cohesion, combinations and consistency they've shown week in, week out - despite facing injury and selection difficulties - has been remarkable and their results over the season point to that.
"We'll be looking to continue that into the finals series. The Knights are a well-rounded side with good halves, a strong forward pack, hard-working outside backs and they attack well so it'll be a good challenge for us. Defensively we'll have to be at our best and make sure our combinations are right in attack."
