Souths Cares is celebrating the success of one of the Barranggirra Program’s participants who recently completed her Traineeship and Cert III in Health Administration and is now commencing fulltime employment with South Western Sydney Local Health District.
Rennae Brizzolara was referred to the Barranggirra Program last year and has worked closely with Souths Cares Employment and Training Mentor, Lowana Longbottom to achieve her employment and training goals.
Prior to commencing her Traineeship, Rennae had been a stay-at-home mum, looking after two young children. After a period of two years out of the workforce, Rennae was eager to follow her passion for helping other people whilst finding employment in an industry that had opportunities for growth and development.
Commencing a Traineeship as a mature-aged learner with two young children required Rennae to step out of her comfort zone however she excelled throughout her Traineeship, developing a wide range of skills including communication, customer service, administration and Microsoft office.
Lowana Longbottom, Souths Cares Employment and Training Mentor explained Rennae had to overcome some challenges along her career journey.
“I have loved working with Rennae over the past 6 months and watching her thrive in her Traineeship and then secure a full-time role. She’s worked so hard with the challenges that come with being a full-time working mum, and we are so proud of what she has achieved”, Lowana said.
Rennae explained the Barranggirra Program provided with her great support in achieving her career aspirations.
“I love that the Barranggirra Program is support across the board. This support helped me realise my real potential and allowed me to reach my goals and beyond.
I’m truly grateful for all the support given and highly recommend the program for anyone who wants to exceed their own potential”, Rennae said.
Rennae will continue to receive mentoring support through the Barranggirra Program for the next 6 months as she transitions from her Traineeship to fulltime employment as a Medical Receptionist.
The Barranggirra Program is facilitated by Souths Cares in partnership with Training Services NSW.
