Shaq Mitchell Called Into Indigenous All Stars Squad

Rabbitohs forward, Shaquai Mitchell, has been called into the Indigenous All Stars squad for Saturday’s All Stars match against the Maori All Stars.

Mitchell, 25, will join his younger brother Latrell as a representative of his people when he pulls on the Indigenous All Stars jersey at CommBank Stadium, with Latrell having played for the Indigenous All Stars on four occasions.

Shaquai heads into camp today alongside fellow Rabbitoh Alex Johnston who will don the Indigenous All Stars jersey for the fifth time, becoming the Rabbitohs’ most capped All Stars player.

Shaq is yet to make his NRL debut but has worked extremely hard for this opportunity during his time at South Sydney. He is currently training full time with the Rabbitohs top squad and has impressed everyone with his dedication to his training and to improving his fitness. He has a big, robust frame and excellent ball skills, attributes which will be handy against a strong Maori All Stars pack this Saturday night.

Saturday’s clash will be the biggest match of Shaquai’s career to date. On behalf of everyone connected to the Rabbitohs we congratulate Shaq on his selection for the Indigenous All Stars.
