After Burgess looked to have spilled the ball over the line, Luke Brooks ran the length of the field to score what would have been the Tigers' match-winner. Only on replay was it shown that Burgess had in fact grounded the ball with his fingertips, completing one of the most memorable comebacks in South Sydney history.
