Souths Cares and the Rabbitohs Encourage South Sydney to get Tested

The COVID crisis is continuing to create new challenges for our community, with an emerging hotspot developing in the inner city suburbs of Redfern, Waterloo, Glebe and Camperdown.

In response to the rising COVID cases in the inner city, Souths Cares has teamed up with NSW Health, Redfern Aboriginal Medical Service and City of Sydney to establish a pop-up COVID testing clinic and health information service at Redfern Community Centre.

The testing clinic is operating from 10am-4pm, 7 days a week and is located at 29 - 53 Hugo Street, Redfern. COVID testing is free and no appointment is necessary.

Alisha Parker-Elrez, Souths Cares General Manager helped establish the Clinic and is encouraging the local community get tested.

‘Souths Cares feel honoured to be a part of this important community initiative, in partnership with NSW Health, Redfern Aboriginal Medical Service and City of Sydney.

We know testing plays an important role in stopping the spread of COVID, and it is important we keep everyone safe in particular our elders and children”, Alisha said.

Please head to the NSW Health website for the latest and most up-to-date COVID information.
