The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their NRL squad for round 25 against the St George Illawarra Dragons to be played this Saturday 4 September at 7:35pm at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
Rabbitohs Head Coach Wayne Bennett has made a host of changes to the team that defeated the Sydney Roosters last Friday night, resting eight players that played in the 54-12 victory.
Mark Nicholls has been named to captain the Rabbitohs for the first time in his career, a side that will feature Blake Taaffe at fullback, Taane Milne on the wing, Braidon Burns at centre, Lachlan Ilias at halfback, Peter Mamouzelos at hooker, Patrick Mago at prop, and Dean Hawkins, Tautau Moga, Jed Cartwright and Davvy Moale on the interchange bench.
The Rabbitohs players will wear special one-off jerseys in Saturday’s game, with each individual jersey featuring the name of a Rabbitohs supporter in place of the Club’s major home corporate partner Aqualand. The jerseys will then be signed and gifted to those Rabbitohs supporters after the match to thank them for their ongoing support of South Sydney.
