This year marks the 10th year of TCL Mobile’s relationship with the Rabbitohs, a wonderful milestone that has seen its Alcatel brand adorn the Club’s playing shorts and training apparel for many years. Last season was its first as a co-Major Sponsor, with the Alcatel brand featuring on the front of the NRL away jersey and TCL on the lower back of the home jersey.
This season, TCL has moved to the front of the NRL away jersey as the company looks to grow this brand in Australia ahead of an exciting new range of smartphones and other connected devices being launched shortly.
While a new brand in smartphones in Australia, it is the same company that has stood alongside the Club and grown with us on our journey to our 22nd premiership.
TCL Director of Product Marketing, David Vieira, said that the transition from Alcatel to TCL as the co-major partner of the Club is a representation of TCL’s ambitions in the Australian market to continue launching innovative but affordable technology in smartphones and beyond, and is proud to have the Club’s partnership as a backing across the decade.
“We are excited for a big year ahead, and proud that our brand continues to be part of the success of the club on-field,” Mr Vieira said.
“It is great to see that in our 10th year together, the TCL brand will be part of what we are confident will be a very successful season.”
South Sydney Rabbitohs Chief Executive Officer, Blake Solly, echoed Mr. Vieira’s comments reflecting on the historical partnership and what this has meant to the Club.
“On behalf of the Club, we’d like to thank Alcatel and TCL for standing with us over the past ten years,” Mr Solly said.
“As the oldest and proudest Club in the League, we often reflect on the milestones that make us who we are. A milestone like this is testament to the loyalty of Alcatel and TCL, and the way our Members and fans have embraced their products.
We are looking forward to a prosperous year on and off the field with TCL sharing the success with usBlake Solly Rabbitohs CEO
TCL have kick started their 2021 campaign with the Rabbitohs with a major prize giveaway featuring over $25,000 worth of prizes to Members and fans across the Club’s digital platforms and this is just the beginning.
The partnership extension will see TCL’s new smartphones appearing across the Club’s digital and social media channels, in addition to exposure through ground signage, advertising, and their match day partnership in round six against the Wests Tigers.
