Gates will open at 11am at Apex Oval on Sunday 23 May with the curtain raiser match being the NSW Cup match between the Rabbitohs and Panthers. The NRL match is scheduled to kick off at 2pm.

Rabbitohs CEO, Blake Solly, is very excited about the upcoming match in one of Australia’s biggest regional centres.

“On behalf of everyone here at the Rabbitohs, we’re all really excited to be bringing our team and our Club to Dubbo in May,” Mr Solly said.

“We enjoyed fantastic support less than three weeks ago in nearby Mudgee where we claimed the Charity Shield for the ninth straight season, and we’re hoping to see as many people in red and green at Apex Oval as we can on Sunday 23 May.

“We’ll be active in the community of Dubbo and the surrounding regions, in conjunction with Dubbo Regional Council and Souths Cares, so we’re looking forward to meeting as many fans as we can as we build up to a huge clash with last year’s Grand Finalists.

“Players such as Latrell Mitchell, Adam Reynolds, Cody Walker, Jai Arrow and Benji Marshall are set to come head-to-head with the likes of Nathan Cleary, Viliame Kikau, Jarome Luai, Stephen Crichton and Dubbo’s own Isaah Yeo at Apex Oval. What more could you ask for!

“We encourage everyone to get your tickets early as we’re sure tickets will be hard to come by as the game approaches. Grab yourself a Rabbitohs Central West Membership to guarantee entry or purchase your tickets from this Friday to what promises to be one of the best games of the season.”

Mayor of the Dubbo Region, Councillor Ben Shields, said: “It’s fantastic that people can now get in and get their tickets for Dubbo’s first official NRL game.

“Souths have shown their commitment to the Dubbo Region by releasing the Central West Membership, which allows general admission seating for the match at Apex Oval as well as all membership benefits, so I am encouraging everyone to show their support by taking advantage of this offer.

“This match is a great opportunity for League fans in the region to see a quality NRL match so I want to see a big crowd on Sunday May 23.”
