Dave Taylor possessed all the skills of a halfback in the mould of a man-mountain. A player who represented both his state and country, Taylor came to Souths in 2010 and played until 2012 predominantly in the back row.
One of the highlight plays from Taylor was when he grubbered and regathered his own kick to score against the Penrith Panthers in 2012.
Taylor played 181 NRL games (63 for Souths) and also played a season with French team Catalans Dragons.
A confidence player, Taylor had the ability to change the game with one play alone. He was also the catalyst for that memorable last minute try against the Roosters in 2012, where he found Chris McQueen on the short-side from the kick-off who streaked up the left touch line.
