You couldn't leave Cookie out of the Running for Hooker of the Decade!

The quickest player over 20 metres they say and you cannot argue when you see him zip out of dummy half!

A bit of a journeyman Damien Cook had to fight to get to where he is today after spending time at the Panthers, Dragons and Bulldogs before cracking a consistent first grade position with the Rabbitohs.

Since then he has taken his opportunity with both hands and has built his game to another level, now both the Blues and Kangaroos hooker.

A key highlight for Cookie would have to be when he obliterated the Storm’s middle back in 2018 to score one of the best solo tries of the season; beating multiple cover defenders with his left-foot step.

Others include his 80-metre try in the Semi Final against the Knights in 2020 and that blistering Origin effort in the Game three decider of 2019. Cook has played 123 NRL games with 114 being at the Rabbitohs. He has also played nine Origins, four Tests and has represented NRL All Stars and NSW Country.
