The first lot of forwards have been voted in the Menulog Team of the Decade with both George Burgess and Roy Asotasi taking out the Props.
Roy ‘Rasa’ Asotasi was the key signing that turned South Sydney around and helped make the Club ‘attractive’ again for other players to go.
Roy Captained the Club and finished his final season at South Sydney in 2013, after bowing out in the Preliminary Final against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
He played a total of 217 NRL games (133 for South Sydney) before making his way to the English Super League where he played two seasons with the Warrington Wolves.

Dubbed the best Front-Rower in the world in 2014, you could argue it was his rise in form in the back-end of that season that saw South Sydney time their run perfectly to Premiership glory.
George Burgess played 149 games for South Sydney between 2012-2019 finishing with a win percentage of just over 60% He brought ‘go-forward’ and a real energy in the middle third of the field. Burgess currently plays for Wigan Warriors in the English Super League.
