Starting one year after his twin brother George, Thomas Burgess came to South Sydney in 2013 and currently leads the pack today being the sole Burgess brother remaining at the Club.
While George bursted onto the scene, it took a bit more time for Thomas and now he is hitting his stride and is in career-best form coming off a stellar 2020 season. He has proven he can rise to the challenge and has shown consistency in all of his performances.

Burgess has played his entire NRL career at South Sydney totalling 162 matches. He was also a part of the starting 17 who won the 2014 Premiership, along with fellow teammates Adam Reynolds and Alex Johnston. At 28 Burgess still has plenty of years left developing his craft as one of the competition’s premium front-rowers.
