John Sutton Menulog Team of the Decade - Five-Eighth

John Sutton is the most-capped Rabbitoh of all time playing all of his 336 NRL games with the Club. A Souths Junior with Kensington United, Sutton had been through it all; the tough times and the Glory years.

John Sutton played the first half of his career at five-eighth before moving to the edge in 2014. A big frame, Sutton possessed all the skills and always had a ‘run first’ mentality. He provided versatility as a left-foot kicker and straightened the attack of the Rabbitohs’ backline. Sutton was voted the ‘unluckiest player to not play Origin’ in an fan poll and as a three-time George Piggins medalist, he was regarded as one of the most valuable players the Rabbitohs have seen. He is the only Rabbitohs player to play the entire decade.
