Vale Steve Little

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are mourning the passing of former player Steve Little who passed away recently at Port Macquarie.

Steve Little was born in Moree in 1953. He played junior football with Moree and Zetland United before South Sydney graded him in 1972. He played for the club until 1978, playing mainly as a winger in a total of 137 grade games (scoring 39 tries and 129 goals).

Mr Little, first grade player number 594, made his first grade debut in 1974 against Balmain in round four at Redfern Oval when he came on as a replacement for Jeff Williams with 15 minutes left in the game. He was 20 years and 318 days when he made his first grade debut. He played in 57 first grade games for the Rabbitohs, scoring 15 tries and 50 goals.

Mr Little later played for West Tamworth and in 1983 represented Northern Division in the Caltex Country Divisional Championship. On behalf of everyone connected with the Rabbitohs, we offer our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr Steve Little.
