The South Sydney Rabbitohs are currently recruiting for the position of NSW Cup Head Coach for the 2021 NSW Cup season.
The primary responsibility of the NSW Cup Head Coach role is to implement the Club’s elite player development program across South Sydney’s NSW Cup Squad which will participate in the NSWRL’s elite competition.
The Coach’s focus is to create a positive environment for training, preparation and game day in the NSW Cup whilst helping prepare players in this squad for a potential call-up to the NRL squad, and to ensure the players represent South Sydney in the best way possible every week.
This part time role will work closely with the NRL Coaching staff and Head of Player Development and Pathways to support players participating in the NSW Cup program. The Rabbitohs’ Pathways program includes sides entering in the NSWRL’s Jersey Flegg Cup (U21s), SG Ball Cup (U19s), Harold Matthews Cup (U17s) and Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership (open age).
It is expected that the NSW Cup Head Coach will have experience leading an elite or semi-professional men’s Rugby League program and hold all the relevant coaching qualifications required for the role.
