On This Day: Macca became the Fifth Rabbitoh to Captain their country

On This Day Bob McCarthy became the fifth Rabbitoh to lead their Country, captaining Australia to a 14-6 win over Great Britain in Headingley Stadium.

Trailing 6-4 at half-time, Captain McCarthy scored the sole try for the Kangaroos while Graham Eadie kicked five goals and Bob Fulton kicked a field goal.

McCarthy played five games for Australia and over 200 games for the Rabbitohs.
