The South Sydney Rabbitohs are mourning the passing of former player and South Sydney Juniors director, Mr Joe Vizzone, who passed away on Sunday, aged 64.
Mr Vizzone played 34 lower grade games for South Sydney between 1976 and 1977, however his greatest contribution to the club and district came through his work and dedication to South Sydney Juniors and the development of junior talent in the local area, as well as his support for community projects.
Mr Vizzone was a Director of Souths Juniors for two decades and was also on the Board of the Botany Enterprise Council. He was a Director of South Sydney Juniors League Bowling Club, Souths Juniors Sporting Association, SSJ Developments and was a Patron of three Intra Clubs with Souths Juniors.
Joe was recognised as a Life Member of Mascot Junior Rugby League Football Club for over 20 years of dedication and service as a volunteer and administrator. He also continued to support local sport and education through the sponsorship of Mascot Junior Rugby League Football Club, Botany Junior Rugby League Football Club, Mascot Netball Club and J.J Cahill Memorial High School.
Mr Vizzone was a well-known identity in the South Sydney and Eastern Suburbs areas of Sydney through his work as a lawyer and his ongoing community work through Souths Juniors and his other projects.

The funeral will be held on Friday 6th November 12pm at Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park South Chapel however, this will be invitation only.
Due to capacity restrictions, the service will be live streamed in the Juniors Kingsford auditorium (level 2). The room will be open from 11:30am with the service commencing at 12pm.
