On this day back in 1989 the Rabbitohs won every away game which clinched Minor Premiership at Kogarah Oval.

Captained by Mario Fenech, the Rabbitohs won 8-4 that day with Mark Ellison scoring all the points!

It was a dream season by the Rabbitohs but they fell out in straight sets to Balmain and then Canberra. Mark Ellison was the leading point scorer (91) while livewire Phil Blake crossed for the most tries (12).
