Walker’s On
How good is it having Cody back? It only took him 12 minutes to conjure up some magic as a nicely timed grubber in between the line created our second try of the match for Alex Johnston. He’s been a danger on both sides of the field on one occasion providing a deft pass to put Gagai into space and forcing a goal line dropout which would eventually lead to a try to that man again off the ensuring set. He also relieved the pressure on our own line when he made an intercept 8 minutes out from the half with the Gold Coast camped out deep into our territory.
Post to Post
Tries in the corner have made for some tough conversions, but Reynolds come up with the goods on each time, piloting these over with ease. If the game comes down to wire, it might these conversions might prove the difference.
Latrell the Creator
He may started the game by kicking the ball out on the full but we were all quick to forget that when he juggled, regathered and crashed over the line shortly after to open our account and his for the 2020 season. A perfectly timed pass put Gagai across the stripe while a deft grubber and a few juggles later got us on the board again through Braidon Burns. Definitely brought his boots today.
Meter Eaters
So far the lads have run for a combined 724 metres compared to the Titans 466. The engine room has been on full bore too with Thomas Burgess leading from the front with 127 metres already in this match.
