On This Day: Inglis was announced Queensland Captain

On this day in 2018 Greg Inglis was announced captain of Queensland becoming the very first Rabbitoh to Captain their state at Origin level.

G.I Captained the remainder of the series and despite losing to New South Wales 2-1, he brought his game to another level - pulling off big hits left, right and centre!

Inglis went on to play 32 games for Queensland after making his Origin debut in 2006. He scored 18 tries for the Maroons - the most in State of Origin history!
