Su'A seals his South Sydney Future

A 2019 mid-season signing from Brisbane, Jaydn Su'A has slotted into the South Sydney system nicely and has obviously found a home after activating the option in his playing contract.

This activation will see Su'A in the red and green until at least the end of the 2021 season! An international second rower for Samoa, Su'A has played 10 games for South Sydney and has been rewarded with a starting position in the opening rounds of 2020.

A likeable character around the playing group, Su'A admits a big attraction for him changing his life to come down to Sydney was to link back up with coach Wayne Bennett. Bennett gave Su'A his debut jersey at the Broncos and the two have worked together through his development to first grade.

Jaydn Su'A

I just thought to myself that to take my game to the next level, this would be the Club to do it at.

On the football field, Su'A is a gifted line-runner and brings a lot of aggression particularly in his defence. He has the ability to change the game with one big tackle.

Su'A credits a lot of his early development at Souths to the veteran mentors who are constantly at training, helping them to improve. The likes of John Sutton - another former backrower - has been a big influence on his game, both as a former teammate and now development coach.

Keeping his head down during the isolation period, Su'A much like the rest of the team, is just focused on getting back on the field.

An out-and-out footballer, he is chomping at the bit to rip in at Redfern Oval come May 4, knowing his immediate future is secured.
