South Sydney have announced star fullback Latrell Mitchell will be remaining in the red and green in 2021 after the club activated a clause for the second season in his two-year deal.
The Rabbitohs posted on social media on Friday night to say the NSW and Australian representative was locked in for next year.
It's great news for the Bunnies coming on the back of Friday's earlier announcement by ARL Commission chairman Peter V'landys that an agreement had been reached with broadcast partners Channel Nine and Fox Sports for the Telstra Premiership to restart on May 28.
Mitchell started the first two rounds of the year at fullback for Souths before teh competition was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic after making a well-documented switch from the Roosters in the off-season
The 22-year-old, who made his first-grade debut in 2016, is just two shy of 100 NRL appearances with 679 points, including 65 tries, while he's also represented his state and country four times apiece.
