Rabbitohs Jersey Flegg Side Power home over Parramatta

The South Sydney Rabbitohs Jersey Flegg side have recorded a 34-22 win over the Parramatta Eels at Ringrose Park, Wentworthville.

In what was valuable hit out for both sides, it was the Parramatta Eels who would strike first in the third minute and convert to make the score 6-0.

 From the ensuring kick-off, Souths would kick the ball out on the full to hand Parramatta valuable field position which they would use to full effect, scoring off the next set and converting to make it 12-0 after five minutes.

They were back at it shortly afterwards, scoring once more and converting to leave the scores at 18-0 after just ten minutes of play.

South Sydney began to find their groove shortly afterwards when some slick passing found Fruean Easthope out wide in the corner. Chaise Robinson would then guide the sideline conversion over with ease.

In the 25th minute, hooker Peter Mamouzelos would burrow over from dummy half and with Robinson's boot the scoreboard read 18-12.

In a matter of minutes Souths were level after Tevita Taumoepenu got his name on the scoresheet to make the scores 18-18.

Two minutes out from half time, Parramatta wrestled the lead back through a four pointer of their own to make it 22-18 at the break.

Five minutes into the second stanza, Fruean Easthope was back at it again finishing off another backline movement to lock up the scores once more at 22 a piece.

Fullback Chaise Robinson put the Rabbitohs in front for the first time with some excellent support play through the middle with ten minutes remaining, while Ben Lloyd put the game beyond doubt when he strolled through a gap. 

Robinson's final conversion of the game would make the final score 34-22 in Souths favour.
