Yesterday the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Souths Cares welcomed 24 students from SEDA College who are commencing Term 1 in the Rabbitohs HSC Program.
Their induction into the Rabbitohs HSC Program included an assembly at the Sydney Cricket Ground, followed by group workshop in the Rabbitohs theatre, a VIP tour of Rabbitohs HQ and lunch with the Souths Cares team at Redfern.
The Rabbitohs SEDA College partnership was first launched in 2016, and over the past four years has gone from strength to strength. Souths Cares Health and Education Programs Lead Alex Mecham was excited for growing the partnership in 2020. ‘We welcomed a great bunch of students into the team today and I’m looking forward to working with them over the next 2 years and watching them develop’.
Year 12 Teacher, Carly Walsh explained she was eager to get back into the curriculum after the school holidays. ‘There’s a great buzz around the students today, particularly our Year 11’s who are coming to the Rabbitohs facility for the first time’.
