With players from all 16 NRL teams represented in a premiership round at the one venue for the first time in the game's history, we asked some NRL legends to make some Magic Round predictions.
Ahead of Thursday night's first game between the Titans and the Sharks, we asked each legend to predict a magic moment from not only their former club, but also from the other 15 clubs on show.
If any of these come true, it will be a round to remember…
Anthony Minichiello (Roosters)
"I'm predicting Luke Keary to come up with something special on Sunday afternoon against a Raiders team that are going along pretty well at the moment.
"I'm actually really looking forward to seeing the whole spectacle, seeing all the games at the one venue and how the fans respond to that. We look like getting fantastic weather and there are some really good match-ups over the weekend so I'm looking forward to watching that.
"There are a bunch of fullbacks playing well at the moment. 'Teddy' [James Tedesco] is obviously going really well for us, Kalyn Ponga and I've been really impressed by Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad. I like watching him play."
Preston Campbell (Titans)
"AJ Brimson is one of those guys who is really exciting and disrupts the line of defence. What I like is that he's not afraid to go backwards to go forwards so maybe we'll see a chip-and-chase from AJ or maybe a big step that breaks the line.
"There are plenty of players at the moment with that X-factor. Latrell Mitchell was amazing last week, I like the way Matt Dufty has a go at the Dragons. He's scored two of the best tries of the season the past two weeks so he's one guy I'm looking forward to having a bit of fun out there.
"Cody Walker has been playing some really good football at the Rabbitohs and James Tedesco looks like he's having a lot of fun at the moment. There's a long list and I'm sure they'll produce plenty of magic moments this weekend."
Terry Campese (Raiders)
"I'll say that Jarrod Croker will continue his climb to the top of the all-time point-scoring record by kicking the winning goal from the sideline to beat the Roosters. That would be a pretty magic moment.
"I'm really enjoying watching the Rabbitohs at the moment and Cody Walker especially. There's something special about the kid. I'll say he scores another double including a 30-metre spectacular solo effort."
Nathan Hindmarsh (Eels)
"A magic moment for the Eels this weekend will come from 'King Gutho' [Clint Gutherson] again. King Gutho will pull something out of the hat for Magic Round. He'll produce something that will dazzle and surprise the crowd.
"Latrell Mitchell is obviously a standout but I think we'll see something special from Mitchell Pearce this weekend. I think Pearcey will go back-to-back with some really good quality games. He seems to have found his groove again and the confidence that made him an Origin player so I think we'll see Mitchell really guide the Knights around again this week."
Glenn Hall (North Queensland Cowboys)
"For the Cowboys it's hard to go past someone like Jason Taumalolo. He made his comeback last weekend after a few weeks off with his knee injury and he ran for over 200 metres. Jason Taumalolo is just one of those special players.
"As for the rest, it's hard to go past Latrell Mitchell. Some of the football he is playing at the moment is quite incredible. He exudes confidence at the moment and it looks like he's really enjoying himself. The Roosters play the same day as us so I'm looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere and watching Latrell play."
Michael Crocker (Rabbitohs)
"We've got the Cowboys on Sunday and at the moment Cody Walker seems to produce something special every time he plays. I think in this sort of environment, Sunday afternoon, good weather, it's the perfect day for him to play a bit of footy. I'd love to see a chip-and-chase try from Cody Walker from 50 metres out, dummy the fullback and score under the posts.
"What I'm really excited about is the fan experience and having good crowds for every game. As a footy fan, there's nothing better than a full house so I'm excited about the crowds we're going to see. And if Latrell Mitchell can play like he did last week it's going to be exciting."
Chris Heighington (Knights)
"I reckon we'll see something special from Kalyn Ponga this weekend. I like him at fullback, I've said that from the start. I like him popping up on the inside of Pearcey [Mitchell Pearce]. I think he will produce a Benji Marshall-like moment from 2005 when Benji went to Shark Park and stepped five people and threw a no-look cut-out pass to Daniel Fitzhenry.
"I wish I'd gone a year longer so I could have played in this. It's great to see all the fans around hopefully we get a sellout each day.
"In terms of other teams, I like South Sydney. Cody Walker is in pretty rare form at the moment, everything he's touching is turning to gold. He's kicking for himself and coming up with individual brilliance so I can see him coming up with a magic moment as well."
Pat Richards (Wests Tigers)
"Benji Marshall to recreate some of that old Benji magic with a big step and a flick pass for Robbie to dive over under the posts.
"After last week you'd have to say Latrell. He's an incredible player. They're the sort of players that people pay money to go and watch. He's in some fine form and the Roosters are flying so I'd expect a big game from him on Sunday."
Steve Menzies (Sea Eagles)
"Daly Cherry-Evans to throw away the crutches, come up off the bench and kick the winning field goal. I'm joking, I'm joking. I'll say that Jake Trbojevic will score a double, I don't think he's ever done that before.
"Latrell is so good to watch. I'll say Latrell will score three tries. I just want to see heaps of tries scored."
