South Sydney Rabbitohs outside back Braidon Burns will be reporting for pre season training next Monday, but that hasn't stopped the 22 year old from taking the time to speak with Indigenous elders and kids out in the New South Wales country town of Wellington.
The trip was originally planned as an opportunity to catch up with family and friends in his hometown of Dubbo. The fly in fly out job quickly took a turn for the better when his aunty arranged for him to spend one of this days delivering some inspiration to locals within the area.
"Originally I came home to see my family in Dubbo, but my Aunty organised for me to go over to Wello and have a chat with some kids and some the elders there." Said Burns.
"It was about their health, knowing which foods they should eat, how to brush their teeth and eating properly."
"Trying to encourage different people from the community to get their health checks and make sure they're staying on top of it all."
Nice one Braidon. Seeya at pre season.
