Vale Alan Scott

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are mourning the passing of South Sydney premiership winner Alan Scott, who passed away last weekend aged 79.

Alan Francis Scott was born on 5 July 1939 in Sydney. He played for South Sydney between 1959-60 and 1966-70, playing 28 first grade games including the victorious 1967 Grand Final.

He also played 72 reserve grade games and eight third games for the Rabbitohs. Mr Scott also played for Manly between 1961-65, playing 24 first grade games.

Mr Scott's South Sydney player number is #470 and he mainly played as a lock and second row forward at Souths, and when he went to Manly he played centre.

Mr Scott's funeral service is to be held on Monday 23 July at 12:30pm in the South Chapel, Rookwood Cemetery, Hawthorne Avenue, Rookwood.
