Doyle and Nean ready to bounce back

The South Sydney Rabbitohs women's team duo Karri Doyle and Kyara Nean say the Red and Green have put the difficult month of June behind them and are ready to finish the season strong.

Whilst they still sit in first place on the ladder, the Rabbitohs women have had a tough month, going down to their first loss of the season to CRL Newcastle and drawing last Saturday to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

With just two games remaining until the finals start, the Rabbitohs need to get back into the swing of things before then, which centre Kyara Nean believes is a simple switch of a button.

"Definitely, we want to keep the position that we are in and the structure we have worked on in training," said Nean.

"We want to achieve the goals we set at the start of the season and there is no reason that we can't do that, it just takes a bit of extra effort."

While the last couple of weeks have been a struggle for the team Doyle has been impressed with how she and her teammates have "dug deep".

"After negative after negative that happens on the field we still to remain as positive as we can," said Doyle.

"A draw is better than a loss and, in the end, we did what we did and now it's time to move on."

The Rabbitohs will now return to their spiritual home of Redfern Oval this Sunday as they get set to take on Cabramatta with a win almost guaranteeing them the minor premiership.

"I'm really excited to play in front of our home crowd again," Nean said.

"Especially coming from the Redfern All Blacks last year it'll be good to play with all the other grades before us and have all the supporters there as well as a community."

You can catch the Rabbitohs women's team this Sunday at Redfern Oval with the team kicking off at 5pm.
