South Sydney Rabbitohs outside back Robert Jennings says it's a dream come true to be representing Tonga for the first time in his career.
Up there with some the highest try scorers in 2018 Jennings selection came off the back of a cool four-try haul against Parramatta, capping a special weekend for the 22-year-old.
"It's a dream come true and something I've always wanted to achieve since I was a little kid," said Jennings.
"It has been a good week obviously finishing off with a win with four tries and then topping it off with making the Tongan team.
"I've always dreamt of playing in that red jersey and now I'm fortunate enough to get the chance and play alongside my brother for the first time."
Jennings brother Michael is also in the team and while 'Jenko' isn't sure just yet whether or not he'll be lining up on the outside of his older brother or on the opposite wing the Red and Green winger is just happy to be ticking off some personal goals."
"I'm pinching myself, this is honestly a dream come true, I'm very excited for this weekend and can't wait to get out on to the field and represent my country."
Among Jennings in the Tongan team is fellow Rabbitoh Junior Tatola, which Jennings has been glad to have around as they both settled into camp.
"At the start, we were very nervous but once we got into camp we stuck by each other," said Jennings.
"But camps been very fun we've sort of settled in and we're now very comfortable with the group.
"It wasn't what I was expecting when I came into camp but everyone was very welcoming and this weekend it's going to be good I get to play alongside guys like Jason Taumalolo and Andrew Fifita, it's experience for me and I can't wait to take the field with them."
Tonga takes on Samoa on Saturday 23 June, kicking off at 7.10pm and Jennings can't wait to get stuck in and enjoy every moment of the game.
"Definitely we're getting closer to the game but the main thing for us is about having fun and enjoying our time here and playing with the players we haven't played with before.
