Tatola honoured by test call up

South Sydney Rabbitohs' talented young forward Junior Tatola says it's a blessing to have the opportunity to be a part of the Tonga test squad for the upcoming Pacific test against Samoa.

Off the back of a barnstorming season for the Red and Green, Tatola has been rewarded with a place in the squad and it's something the 21-year old has loved since moving into to camp on Sunday.

"I'm pretty honoured and privileged to receive the opportunity to play for Tonga," said Tatola.

"I just feel really blessed and I'm really enjoying my time."

With a plethora of big-name forwards in the Tongan team, Tatola has been enjoying his time in camp, learning off some of the game's very best.

"We've got some pretty high-profile players here and I'm just trying to learn off them and implement it into my game."

The rivalry between both Tonga and Samoa is fierce, and Saturday's matchup is set to be one of the most competitive ties between both nations.

However, despite the on-field battle looming, Tatola believes his time in camp should be enjoyed as he takes everything in.

"It's been really good all the boys are really cool, it's been really relaxed and when its time to train we will all be ready for it," said Tatola.

"I think its more about just having fun and getting to know all the boys and just having the Tongan heritage around."
