Damien Cook and Angus Crichton have been seen reporting for State of Origin duty ahead of their expected first call ups for New South Wales.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs duo were photographed when Head Coach Brad Fittler's Blues squad linked up today (Monday) in Coogee ahead of the 6.40pm announcement.

"To be honest with you it was an emotional time last night and I'm just really excited," Cook told NRL.com's Hayley Byrnes.

Asked if there were any tears, Cook replied: "There were a few actually, a little bit, between me and my partner it was a happy time one I've worked hard for and I'm just looking forward to getting in there."

Angus Crichton said: "I was sitting with my family and [Coach Fittler] gave me a buzz, was a pretty short conversation but obviously very stoked."

Cook was pictured getting the ball in hand during a light recovery session this afternoon.

Keep an eye on our channels for the official confirmation of the Blues squad at 6.40pm.
