The Four-Pointer - What to look out for in Rd 12

The South Sydney Rabbitohs travel to Auckland in search of Round 1 redemption as they look to topple the New Zealand Warriors in top four showdown.

With plenty of fast-paced action expected from this fiery clash, here are the key four points that could decide this colossal encounter.

Round 1 Revenge

Having not ever won in Perth, the Warriors came shooting out of the blocks in Round 1 with powerful ball running, slick attacking play and a defensive work ethic worthy of a Premiership winning side.

While they were slightly stunned in the opening round of the 2018 season, the Red and Green have come a long way since then and have turned into one of the form teams in the competition.

There is no doubt that the Rabbitohs will be ready and fired up for this one as they look for Round 1 revenge.

Attack, attack, attack

Has anyone ever heard of the old saying the best form of defence is attack?

For a long time strong defensive teams have dominated the Rugby League seasons but so far in 2018, there has been a shift with attacking based sides leading the charge.

The Rabbitohs and the Warriors are two of the four best attacking teams in the comp alongside the Penrith Panthers and the St George Illawarra Dragons who also sit inside the top four.

Expect a lot of flair on Saturday as both teams try to outdo each other with the ball in hand.

Finding a way to win

This match is simply too close to call, the bookies have them split at the same odds. This game is as much a chess match as it is a game of footy.

Both teams have shown an incredible knack for finding a way to win this season, producing magical escape acts on more than one occasion.

The never-say-die attitude that each side possess is certainly another reason to keep your eyes firmly glued to the TV for the full 80 minutes.

Origin beckoning, backline reshuffle and third place up for grabs

There is so many small battles, added pressures and potential highlights for this game that it's best to roll them into one.

Rabbitohs legend John Sutton believes the impressive 2018 form shown by his side is down to the camaraderie in the team.

With Origin announcements just days away, a backline reshuffle and third place up for grabs you can bet every player in the Cardinal and Myrtle will be lifting their game even higher to combat the added pressures of their Round 12 battle against the Warriors.
