Allende prepared for tight match against Mounties
South Sydney Rabbitohs women's Coach Danny Allende was extremely pleased with his side's 32-4 win against the North Sydney Bears but already has his eyes firmly focused on Thursday's blockbuster against the Mount Pritchard Mounties.
While the Rabbitohs proved too strong for the Bears in a decent showing, Allende knows that the Red and Green are going to need to be even more fired up when they host Mounties at ANZ Stadium.
"I've been up against Mounties for three to four years now and it doesn't matter where you are the table it's always a tight match," said Allende.
"They've certainly got a great team they're on the top of the table as well and we not expecting other than a tough battle."
With both sides going into the match undefeated it's sure to be a cracking contest and Allende wants the Rabbitohs to use what they've learnt from their tough match against the Bears.
"The team really dug deep in the second half and the girls for North Sydney went out and played really well," explained Allende.
"I think we lost our composure a bit in the second half and didn't get to where we needed to be and we lost a bit of ball and got a bit carried away of where should be and worrying about refs calls.
Hopefully we can get back to the way we play, we know what we can do, we'll be focusing just on us on Tuesday and hopefully, we can knuckle down on those little one percenters."
With players returning from representative Footy and others from injury, the Rabbitohs are close to full strength but Allende knows there is a lot of work ahead of him and his team before Thursday.
"Definitely, we've got a really short turnaround as well playing on a Thursday," said Allende.
"We will probably only get one session in so it needs to be a really good session and hopefully we can get everything right in that session and be prepared for Mounties on Thursday."
