Under 16s, Under 18s Women power to wins

It was a solid weekend for South Sydney Juniors as the Under 16s and Under 18s Women produced strong performances against the Sydney Roosters and the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy at Redfern Oval.

UNE Harold Mathew Cup

The Under 16s claimed their first back-to-back wins of the season with a 26-16 win over the Roosters. Two tries to Joe Suaalii set the tone for the match as the talented Souths Juniors stayed inside the top eight.

The Under 18s were unable to produce the upset in their match, going down the Roosters 44-10 in a disappointing day for the Red and Green.

The Under 18s Women rounded off the week with an accomplished 22-12 win over the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy. Raquel Willoughby was the star of the show, scoring two tries and helping her side move to sixth on the ladder.
