What Coach Seibold learned from Super Bowl team

The original supercoach Jack Gibson pioneered tapping into the NFL in the US with his great mate Ron Massey in the 1980's - now South Sydney Rabbitohs Head Coach Anthony Seibold is the latest to embrace the trend.

The Rabbitohs' Head Coach was granted an access all areas pass into the Philadelphia Eagles set-up last October as the club was beginning a run into next Monday’s Super Bowl.

Through contacts in the US, Coach Seibold was able to negotiate sitting on the sideline for the Eagles 34-24 victory over the Washington Redskins at Philadelphia’s home stadium.

“We had terrific seats but what they did was they allowed us to go down on the field for the warm-up and spend the first quarter on the field in their game against the Washington Redskins,” Coach Seibold said.

“It was Monday night footy, it was a full house, the Eagles supporters were going nuts and it was like Origin night, they were going crazy.

“It was a terrific experience to sit down there on the bench and see the coaches in action and the players was great experience.”
