Meet Dave and Bill: the motorcycling, Rabbitohs-loving, knock around Members from Victoria.

Dave, who’s Vice-President of the U.S. Army Small Ships Association, and his dog Bill can often be seen cruising around Somerville.

Bill rides in a sidecar and proudly sports his Rabbitohs jacket, Rabbitohs emblazoned helmet and riding goggles.

“He loves his Rabbits and motorcycle rides and he’s always bringing joy to everyone he meets,” said Dave.

“Bill is named after an extraordinary Australian war horse. I thought about naming him Michael Cleary, you see he’s incredibly fast and loves getting his picture taken.”

Dave has been a Rabbitohs Member for six years but his connection to the Club can be traced back to the day he was born in 1952.

He inherited his Souths passion from his mother who would sit behind the posts at Redfern Oval and watch all three grades play. Dave remembers his mother’s fierce passion fondly.

“She loved everyone with only two exceptions… Manly and their supporters!” laughed Dave.

“I’ve been very lucky to be a part of the South Sydney journey.”
