The Rabbitohs Warrior is a constant presence at ANZ Stadium when Souths are playing. Wearing his iron-clad outfit, Red and Green beard and showing his fierce love of the Rabbitohs from the Burrow, the Rabbitohs Warrior – real name Larry Gleeson – has an incredible backstory to tell.

Despite his intimidating look, Larry has become known as a generous and kind character at games, often obliging requests from fellow Rabbitohs Members and opposition fans for photos.

But it was in 2012 that Larry, who hails from Cowra, was brought into the Rabbitohs family by a mate to help him deal with a personal tragedy.

That mate was Clive Hampton, a Member from Bowral, who contacted the Club about Larry. Souths Cares sprung into action and managed to get Larry onto the field for his first Rabbitohs match.
