Tom Burgess has explained the positive atmosphere around training as the team heads off for their Round 25 clash against ladder leaders, the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park on Saturday night.

“It’s always good to get a win and we’ve been feeling very positive,” said Burgess.

“Everyone’s buzzing, it’s just great to finish off the season and give the Members something to cheer about.”

With a solid performance shown by the forwards in the past few weeks, Burgess is looking to continue the strong start, hard running and keeping the ball and discipline under control.

“It’s just continuing that strong start, running hard, holding onto the ball and being disciplined. We’ll give them a good shake.”

As the team heads off to the airport for their first flight since their Round 19 match in Cairns, Burgess describes the joy of getting away with the team.

“I won’t have my usual Spag. Bol. this week the night before the game with my family but I don’t mind. We have the feed all together and I love getting away with the boys and I like Melbourne as a city as well.

“Obviously Crown are one of our sponsors too, so it will be good to see those guys and hopefully we get a good turnout at AAMI Park on Saturday.”
