Turner Ready For The Storm

Kyle Turner explains that going head-to-head against the Melbourne Storm on Saturday will provide a great opportunity for the Rabbitohs side to see where they sit in preparation for next season.

“They are the top of the table and I think they are the minor premiers already so it’s going to be a great test for us to see where we are at, build into next season and it’s going to be a positive game I think,” explained Turner.

“They’ve got great players around the park and I just can’t wait to get out there and play.”

Turner was close to scoring his first try for the season on the weekend but despite being held up, he was thrilled to have our Members out in force cheering him on and will be looking for another chance on Saturday.

“I just didn’t have the shoulder mobility to get down there. I wanted it bad but just wasn’t there for me but hopefully this week.

“We can’t make the finals but all the Members that turned out to the game they were out in force and sort of got us home in the game and can’t wait to see them out there in the last couple of games.”

With a team full of young players, Turner commends the work of his peers explaining the competition as an opportunity to make every player better.

“I’d like to think I’m not too old at the moment. The young boys coming through are doing great, Cam Murray is playing some great football, Jack Gosiewski who played on the weekend, he’s been great guns for us.

“It’s going to be tough for Madge to pick a side but it’s going to make us all the better and the boys coming in are playing great.”
