Maguire To Coach 150th Souths Match

Rabbitohs Head Coach Michael Maguire is set to coach his 150th Souths game this Thursday against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, becoming the fourth coach ever in Souths history to reach the milestone.

Maguire replaced John Lang at the Rabbitohs in October 2011 after a successful stint with Wigan Warriors in the Super League and went on to end our 43 year Premiership drought in 2014.

Among his contemporaries, Maguire is the currently the fourth longest serving coach at his Club after Craig Bellamy, Des Hasler and Wayne Bennett (although Bennett's current run with the Broncos is 59 games).

Maguire joins a prestigious group of former Souths coaches who have surpassed the 150 game milestone. Those coaches are Clive Churchill (229), Charlie Lynch (165) and Jack Rayner (162).

Good luck 'Madge' and thanks for your service!
