New Rabbitohs recruit Dean Britt has marked his Noth Sydney Bears debut with a 22-6 win over the Wyong Roos on Saturday in an encouraging performance from the second-rower.

Despite being sinbinned with three minutes left in the match, Bears coach Ben Gardiner was pleased with the way Britt settled in to the team after just two training sessions.

"He was strong, had good first contact and good ball carrying," said Gardiner.

"Defensively, he fit in well with our system. He'll develop in attack over the coming weeks. We had the trip to Wyong and he was joining in, having a laugh - he's making an effort which is pleasing to see."

The North Sydney Bears will play their next match against the Mounties on Sunday 16 July at North Sydney Oval.

Britt posted a celebration shot to his Instagram after the match, clearly pleased to have got his first win in his new colours:
