Through The Eyes Of Ron Coote

2017 sees the Men Of League Foundation celebrating 15 years of caring for the men, women and children of the rugby league community.

To celebrate, the Foundation are showcasing the highlights of the past 15 years from our great game through the eyes of the Honorary President and co-founder of the Foundation, Ron Coote AM.

A public vote on Ron’s top 15 moments will now determine the greatest rugby league moment from the past 15 years – Through the Eyes of Ron Coote.

One of the standout moments from the past 15 years is Souths fightback to return to the NRL in the 2002 season.

“I was really filthy to think they’d kick Souths out of the competition,” said Coote.

“I know why they did it but it still didn’t gel right with me and all the other Souths supporters. I marched from Town Hall down to Redfern Oval. I got involved there.

“I was really happy to see Souths come back into the competition because I think it wasn’t a competition without Souths in it I don’t think.”

The most popular Through the Eyes of Ron Coote moment will be announced at the Foundation Gala Dinner on Wednesday 26 July at Hyatt Regency Sydney. Click here to secure your tickets.
