Rabbitohs halfback Adam Reynolds says that despite being an extending period of time off last week due the Club’s second bye for the season, a majority of the player still go together during their time away from training, some taking holidays together with their families.
Reynolds, his wife Tallara and their four kids took a holiday in Queensland alongside a number of the Rabbitohs’ senior players last week.
Reynolds says his team mates and their families are fantastic company.
“We’ve been working really hard at training and all the boys love being around each other, so even though we went on holidays some of us were still together, we went away together and spent some good quality time together,” Reynolds said.
“We love being around each other here.
“It’s such a positive bunch of boys and even though we’re on holidays we still stick together.”
Reynolds says the break mid-season was a good opportunity to refresh the body and refocus the mind for the final ten rounds of the regular season, starting with the Panthers this Sunday afternoon at ANZ Stadium.
“We’re not too worried about the ladder,” Reynolds said.
“We’re focussing on ourselves and making sure that we’re preparing the best to turn up and play the best footy we can.
“We’ve got a day out at ANZ on Sunday and we’re kicking off NAIDOC week wearing our Indigenous jerseys, and Dave Tyrrell and George Burgess have milestone games.
“It’s a big occasion and it’s our only Sunday game at ANZ so we’re urging all our Members and fans to get out there and come and celebrate a good day.”
Reynolds says the hard work has continued this week with the team returning training and he hopes the Club’s Members and fans turn out in force to support the team this week.
“It’s not panic stations just yet. We’re continually working hard as a group and we’re enjoying the challenge,” Reynolds said.
“We’re not sitting where we want to but we’re all about improvement here and it’s all about turning out on the training field and putting in every session.
“We know our Members and fans are always there for us and we acknowledge that, we’re thankful for the support.
“It’s another good opportunity to get out there and watch us go around.”
