Luke Kelly took time to visit young Rabbitohs fan, Ben Herlihy, on Friday afternoon who was leaving hospital after a 43 day visit.

Ben, aged eight years old, was hit by a car on Wednesday 10 May while crossing the road. After undergoing CPR, he was put in an induced coma for two weeks continuing his recovery at Randwick Children’s Hospital until Friday.

The visit from Kelly was a delight for Ben who loves the Rabbitohs for many reasons including the mighty Red and Green colours and the 21st Premiership win in 2014.

“I like them because they play very good, have nice colours and they won the Grand Final in 2014,” said Ben.

Ben has now returned home where he will continue his recovery.
