Comradery Driving Rabbitohs Forward: Burgess

Rabbitohs forward Thomas Burgess says the team has come together over the past couple of weeks to address the issues that affected their performances at the start of the year and believes they'll put a strong performance in against the Gold Coast Titans.

Talking to the NRL Media, Burgess was positive about our last performance against the Broncos and is confident we'll improve again for Friday's Round 15 clash with the Gold Coast Titans.

"We've come together recently really good and I think we've grown a little bit," said Burgess.

"We didn't get the result against Brisbane but we're definitely in the right direction and we're just going to try and keep our confidence up.

"There's effort there but we just need to cut out, coming out of our own end, a few errors and simple stuff we know we can fix."

Burgess believes the comradery in the playing group is helping the Rabbitohs overcome their sloppy start to the season. Burgess explains there is a positivity around the Simply Energy High Performance Centre that is driving the Rabbitohs to improve.

"You've just got to stick together as a group and keep being thankful for what you've got and what you're doing for a job," said Burgess.

"Obviously we want to put in our best performance against the Gold Coast. We do need to get a win, that's for sure, and we'll be trying our hardest this week.

"We've just got to stay positive and keep at it, keep putting in the effort and that's not going to go unrewarded."
