We’ll Be Prepared 100% For Parra

Alex Johnston spoke to the media following the Rabbitohs 6-14 Round 11 loss to the Melbourne Storm on Sunday afternoon at nib Stadium in Perth.

Despite missing out on the two points, Johnston says he was happy with their performance and is looking forward to taking that momentum into Friday night’s match against the Parramatta Eels.

“We were happy with our performance,” explained Johnston.

“Obviously we didn’t get the win that we wanted but we put in a good effort and we have to take that into Parra this week.”

Johnston made an impressive move in the game chasing and catching Storm player, Suliasi Vunivalu, over a 70 metre distance and forcing the winger to knock on. Johnston explained his thoughts in the moment as to just run and described it as a lucky tackle.

“Just run, try to just pin the ears back and try and get there.

“I was lucky enough to make the play.”

The Rabbitohs will be looking to chase a win in this week’s match on Friday night with Johnston explaining the teams thrive of earning the two points in every game.

“Since the start, every game is important. The two points is what we are playing for each week and this week the two points against Parra will be massive.

“We’ll be prepared 100% for Parra.”
