South Sydney forward Jason Clark feels that whilst last week’s result was not in the Rabbitohs favour, there are many positives that can be taken out of the game and applied in tonight’s match against the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

Clark believes there is no point focusing on the past negatives and that the team’s efforts will be replicated and improved upon this week.

“Last week was not ideal for us but we are back in it this week,” said Clark.

“It’s going to be a great game and Manly are going great at the moment.

“There are little things we need to improve on with our discipline and our handling errors, there is a lot we will take out of it (last week’s match) and put into this week.”

Discussing the clash at Allianz tonight Clark says that the previous meeting between the two sides was a clash between two completely different teams and that the squad will not be relying on that win to get them over the line this week.

“From what I remember last time they had a few players out so they will be a different side this time around.

“Even though we versed them not that long ago it does come around quick and teams change a lot, they have been playing some great footy too, they will be ready for it.”

Going into the Rep Round following tonight’s game makes the two points on offer more important in order to move with momentum in the competition.

“I think a lot of teams take this as a good way to get these two points and go into a little break so it’s the main focus for a lot of teams right now.

"It is every week trying to get the two points but this week is a big focus.”
