Rabbitohs Fullback Alex Johnston is excited to come up against another young gun fullback, Tom Trbojevic, when his side clashes with the Sea Eagles at Allianz Stadium.

Talking about his own efforts at fullback, Johnston feels he still has improvement to make in his game but feels week-to-week he's developing well.

“There's always something I learn each week and I'm trying to make improvements to the things that I learn, so each week I'm getting a bit more comfortable and I'm hoping I get a good game this week," said Johnston.

“Defensively fullbacks are doing a lot of things differently in the game so I’m really working on that.”

Johnston also has the knowledge of injured captain Greg Inglis at his disposal with Greg giving Alex tips throughout the season.

“Since he's been injured he has been in training and doing a lot of video with me and helping me out," said Johnston.

The outside backs will be a point of interest in the clash with strike players Dylan Walker and Trbojevic providing Manly with attacking skill on the edges whilst Hymel Hunt had an impressive return for the Rabbitohs on the wing.

“It’s going to be a good contest, with Tommy Turbo at the back, he is playing really good so for me it is a challenge which would be something good to look forward to," said Johnston.

"It will be good to compete against him.”
