Looking back on last week’s match, Cody Walker is confident that the effort is there but that the mistakes need to be addressed for tonight’s game against the Panthers.

“The effort is definitely there but it’s probably not good enough, we are not coming away with the two points and we’ve been up against quality opposition,” said Walker.

“I thought our defence was definitely there and we probably bundled a few opportunities in the first half and the second half so I think if we eradicate those mistakes it would have been a different game.”

After debuting in 2016 and cementing his spot in Maguire’s line up, Walker believes his success is because of hard work and the combinations he has developed with his teammates.

“I suppose just hard work on the training paddock and not clocking off and the combinations within the group. I’ve got a pretty good combination with John Sutton and we are continually growing that combination on the training park.”
